Treat yourself to a special gift this mother day weekend.
On this Mother’s Day weekend (not only for birth mothers), we will ponder Hildegard of Bingen’s wisdom on Divine mothering and the greening of the soul and explore, how it can nourish our soul’s journey.
We will focus on the idea of motherhood, in the physical as well as spiritual sense, and explore how Hildegard can help us reflect on both the bliss and pain which comes with giving birth to a child, a vocation, or a new stage in life.
We will read, reflect, journal and rest while joining the daily rhythm of the monastery.
Facilitator: Dr. Almut Furchert
Fee: $200 (includes meals and 2 overnight accommodations)
Location:
The retreat takes place at the serene Spirituality Center of Saint Benedicts Monastery in MN, where we will be cared for lovingly by the sisters.
Just like Hildegard lived by the rhythm of the monastery you are invited to participate in the prayers and meals with the monastic community during this time as well.
There will be also time for quiet and retreat, and to explore the monastic grounds.
This retreat is not only for birth mothers but all who long for spiritual renewal.
If you are looking for a time out, a day away and some time to replenish your soul, I am looking forward welcoming you on this retreat!
